Creating Community, Creating Change
ProgramsCARESChildren After-school Recreation, Education and SupportThe CARES program tutors children in grades 1-5. Staff are trained through the schools Project GRAD program and the Emerald Youth Foundation's Equipping Leaders system. The children are assisted with academics, life skills and given spiritual and recreational disciplines throughout the program.
PACEPerforming Arts and Cultural EducationThe PACE program offers free instruction to children in the areas of violin, piano, dance, voice and art.
WISEWellness in Seniors EducationWISE focuses on the well being both physically and mentally for senior citizens in the Mechanicsville, Lonsdale and Beaumont communities. Participants are transported from their homes each Friday and brought to the Wesley House for a hot nutritious meal prepared by volunteers. They have social time and informative speakers. All members receive a call and/or a home visit during the week to check on their physical well-being.
STEPSummer Time Enrichment ProgramThe STEP program is a full day program that starts after schools let out for summer break. Participants enjoy tutoring, arts and crafts, field trips, swimming and special events. Breakfast and lunch are served daily and the program runs from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
